After the system is put into use, it effectively solves the problem of weight fluctuation of a single casting billet and its impact on the final product size during the rolling process. At the same time, it is also very beneficial for improving production efficiency and the stability of rolling billet physical parameters, as well as improving the final product yield.

Practice has shown that after the use of this technology, the precision of controlling the meter weight of the casting billet reaches 0.2%. The system directly improves economic benefits by 0.3~0.6% by reducing the number of straight or ultra short materials.

The GZD054J fixed weight and length cutting system establishes a complete set of dynamic control models for billet weight by combining big data models with continuous casting machine process data such as molten steel composition, temperature, pulling speed, cooling strength, and other related variables. On the premise of achieving the basic function of fixed weight and length, effective prediction of the cooling system of the casting machine and the wear status of the crystallizer can be achieved.
